Alternative solution and strength check of mechanical screens
Sommer, Matěj ; Malach, František (referee) ; Malášek, Jiří (advisor)
This master’s thesis deals with a new design of bar screens. The goal was to come up with an alternative design to already existing device by INKOS a. s. In the first part, there is a summary of various machines working in similiar conditions. The insights gained by this research influenced the design of the new device. It utilizes well proven solutions from previous projects, but some of these were reworked and a few new functions were added. Second part of the thesis describes the analytical solutions, which were used to determine the forces in the assembly during the operation of the device. Based on the results of these calculations, a strength analysis of important components was performed using the finite element method. The result of this thesis is the design and optimization of new bar screens, including engineering drawings and tools for its further development.
Level scraping systems of settlement tanks
Bartoš, Pavel ; Medlík, Jan (referee) ; Brandejs, Jan (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis contains survey of various ways to clean waste water, types of waste treatment plants and its components. The thesis above all adverts to two types of waste treatment tank bottom raking. It describes individual raking effects, advantages, disadvantages and convenience of use. Closing disserts on methods of sludge thickening with use of thickening tanks.
Hydraulic rake screen
Perejda, Michal ; Malach, František (referee) ; Malášek, Jiří (advisor)
This diploma thesis Hydraulic rake screen deals with the design of the hydraulic screen cleaning device with a stroke of 1800 mm, which will be placed in 1000 mm wide flow chanell of the wastewater treatment facility. This paper contains structural optimalization of the structure due to operating conditions and loads, mechanical strength calculations and drawings of the device and its details.
Hydraulic rake screen
Růčka, Martin ; Malach, František (referee) ; Malášek, Jiří (advisor)
This thesis deals with the structural design of hydraulic raking screens placed before a sewage treatment plant. The first part describes various possibilities of water treatment from individual particles. The second part deals with basic parameters of screens and calculations of propelling power for previously chosen structure. Furthermore, a strength check of structure under the most unfavourable load is performed. Drawings of the whole assembly of hydraulic raking screens, plus a few selected components are attached to the thesis.
Laser surface cleaning
Macháček, Martin ; Kubíček, Jaroslav (referee) ; Sigmund, Marian (advisor)
This thesis covers feasibility of laser cleaning applied to various types of surface contaminations and treatments. In theoretical part of the theses are described basic principles of laser, a machine used in practical section (M200 by 4Jet) is introduced and corrosion and surface treatments are depicted. In practical part of the theses is described the preparation process of testing samples, the cleaning procedure and the results thereof are evaluated with emphasis on feasibility of the operation. The last section of the thesis focuses on comparison between conventional cleaning technologies and that of laser cleaning. Conclusion of the thesis summarises gained insights.

Methodology of Selection of Means for Mechanical Cleaning of Dust Particles from Paper Surface
Benešová, M. ; Mašková, Ludmila
The aim of this work was to identify methods of mechanical cleaning of dust particles from the paper surface, which are suitable for use in the restoration practice. For this purpose 15 methods of mechanical cleaning were tested. The basic requirement was the applicability of the methodology for the most restorers. Therefore the methodology included only approaches which do not require any special equipment. The results showed that the type of paper has no effect to cleaning results and the main criterion for selection of means of treatment is the extent of soiling.
